Madrid, October 1. Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, a leading waste management company in Spain, and Kira Ventures, a firm specializing in energy transition project development and investment, have joined forces to create KamBIO Energía, a joint venture aimed at leading the development of biomethane in Spain — a key vector for the decarbonization of transport and the competitiveness of industry.
Cepsa and the investment firm Kira Ventures have reached an agreement for the development of biomethane production plants in Spain from agriculture and farming waste during this decade. The aim is to decarbonize industrial activity, replacing natural gas consumption with renewable gas.
